The present invention relates to polypeptide, or a fragment thereof, capable of enhancing callose biosynthesis and/or accumulation, wherein at least one of the conserved amino acid residues selected from the group consisting of residue corresponding to R84 of SEQ ID NO: 1, residue corresponding to R1926 or SEQ ID NO: 1 and residue corresponding to P189 of SEQ ID NO: 1, of the polypeptide or a fragment thereof, is modified by a mutation selected from the group consisting of substitution and deletion.
The present invention relates to polypeptide, or a fragment thereof, capable of enhancing callose biosynthesis and/or accumulation, wherein at least one of the conserved amino acid residues selected from the group consisting of residue corresponding to R84 of SEQ ID NO: 1, residue corresponding to R1926 or SEQ ID NO: 1 and residue corresponding to P189 of SEQ ID NO: 1, of the polypeptide or a fragment thereof, is modified by a mutation selected from the group consisting of substitution and deletion.
