Individual, legal entities or organisations both domestic and foreign that wish to import all types of satellite communications equipment must acquire permitted license from the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications. Except for Direct-to-Home (DTH) satellite television, which shall be approved by Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism. Apply at Radio Frequency Department.
Who needs this
Individual, legal entities or organisations both domestic and foreign that wish to import all types of satellite communications equipment must acquire permitted license from the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications. Except for Direct-to-Home (DTH) satellite television, which shall be approved by Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism.
Requirements
- Obtain the rights to provide satellite communications services (for foreign satellites).
- have details information about the devices
- Have import plan, quotation, packaging list, quantity, price, certificate of product origin, a standard certificate from factory, destination and date
- In the case of equipment requiring technical inspection, clear details of the devices and/or the actual devices must be present in order to inspect the device standard as specified in Article 12 of this Decision.
- Prepare a set of complete and accurate documents as specified in the Annex.

- 15 The administration and inspection authority shall consider issuing a certificate on import of ICT devices within fifteen working days upon the date received the accurate set of documents; except for those ICT devices that have never been certified and is highly technical.

- The import certificate can be used within the scope specified in the certificate and will be valid for ninety days from the date of signing. Import-export certificate for satellite communications equipment can be renewed by submitting a request and a set of documents 60 days before the expiration date; by following the conditions stipulated in the license, fulfil all obligations, fees and charges.

There are many types of Import and export of satellite communications equipment. Therefore, the issuance of each type of license requires different technical information.
