The application discloses a mono-step process of extracting bromine with alkali method, including the following steps: Air blown-off de-brominated waste water of lst step is oxidized to obtain oxidized waste water of 2nd step. The oxidized waste water of 2nd step is processed by the procedwes of air blowing-off for bromine extraction to obtain the air blown-off de-brominated waste water of 2nd step and the bromine-containing air of 2nd step. The bromine-containing air of 2nd step is absorbed by the absorbed liquid to obtain de-brominated brine of lst step and debrominated air of 2nd step. The de-brominated brine of 2nd step is distilled by the steam for bromine extraction to obtain acidic recycling liquid and finished bromine product of 2nd step. The finished bromine product of2nd step is stored. The process of extracting bromine with alkali method hereof is capable of improving the effect of bromine extraction, while saving energy and protecting the environment.
