Any person or legal entity that intends to establish a vehicle technical inspection centre that is the centre that will inspect and certify the technical qualifications of any vehicles used on the route within Lao PDR. Apply at Public Work and Transport Department.

Any person or legal entity that intends to establish a vehicle technical inspection centre that is the centre that will inspect and certify the technical qualifications of any vehicles used on the route within Lao PDR.
Requirements
- Shall have an appropriate location that will ensure the mitigation of any environmental impacts
- Shall have all the structures and facilities as defined and required by the Ministry of Public Works and Transportation
- Shall have all the required equipment that are modern and meet the required international standards
- Shall have the minimum registered capital of 1 Billion LAK.

- 3 The authority will consider and issue the license within 3 official days after the applicants submit the complete application and required documents. The applicant is recommended to follow up with the authority closely in case the submitted documents or/and required documents are incomplete. The applicant will later have to submit the correct documents according to the advice from the authority.
