The law sets principles, rules and measures on the establishment, operation, management and inspection of enterprises, to promote production, business and services across economic sectors.
It applies to domestic and foreign individuals, legal entities and organisations that establish and operate in the Lao PDR. Types include state-owned, mixed and private enterprises; cooperatives are governed separately.
