A process of producing such a cosmet ic has an emulsion or an aqueous phase that is buffered to a pH of between 5.5 and 7.9 prior to the addition of isolate to the emtJ - sion. A process of improvmg skin appearance is provided that includes the application of the cosmetic to the skin at least three times per week to achieve the improvement ofthe skin appearance.
