Business activities are classified according to an international standard known as the International Standard Industrial Classification (ISIC). The Lao PDR has implemented a national variation of ISIC known as LSIC. When registering a business you will need to know the LSIC codes that relate to your business.

Some business activities require approval from a specific government agency. Registrations involving these activities may be subject to additional approvals, which may result in a short delay.
